College & University Counseling at LA STEAM Academy
Preparing for college can feel overwhelming, but our dedicated university counseling ensures every student receives personalized guidance throughout their journey at LAS.
We help students with:
- College selection is based on their academic strengths, interests, and career aspirations.
- Applications, essays, standardized testing, and financial aid to make the admissions process smoother.
- Extracurricular planning, recommendation letters, and interview preparation to help students present their best selves to universities.
Our Approach at LA STEAM Academy
From the moment students join LA STEAM Academy, we take the time to understand their goals and aspirations. Our College & University Counselor works closely with each student through a structured and supportive process:
9th Grade
Students begin with a group session introducing the college planning process, followed by an individual meeting to discuss their long-term goals.
10th Grade
Students have two individual meetings to refine their plans and begin preparing for standardized testing and extracurricular involvement.
11th Grade
Counseling becomes more frequent, with regular check-ins, personalized guidance, structured assignments, and ongoing communication to ensure students are fully prepared for college applications.
