The Canadian High School Diploma Program at LA STEAM Academy
Open New Doors with a Canadian High School Diploma
At LA STEAM Academy, we offer students the chance to earn a Canadian High School Diploma from the province of Ontario, a Canadian OSSD (Ontario Secondary School Diploma), alongside their local country’s diploma, creating endless opportunities for their future. Known for its academic rigor and global recognition, a Canadian diploma provides access to some of the world’s best universities and prepares students for international careers. With our online program, students can achieve this milestone from anywhere in the world, gaining the tools they need to thrive in today’s competitive landscape.
To graduate with an OSSD, students are required to accumulate a total of 30 credits from Grades 9 to 12, consisting of:
- 18 compulsory credits obtained in subjects such as English, Mathematics, Science, Secondary Language, History, Geography, Civics and Career Studies, Art, and Physical Education.
- 12 optional credits earned from various classes offered by LAS.
For each completed course, students earn one credit. To qualify for the credit, the student must maintain a minimum average of 70% in the course.
LAS also provides Prior Learning Assessment and Recognition (PLAR) for students admitted after Grade 9. This process awards students equivalent OSSD credits based on their prior learning, nothing is guaranteed; the students’ transcript must first be assessed.
