The Canadian High School Diploma Program at LA STEAM Academy

At LA STEAM Academy, we offer students the chance to earn a Canadian High School Diploma from the province of Ontario, a Canadian OSSD (Ontario Secondary School Diploma), alongside their local country’s diploma.
The OSSD is a globally respected credential overseen by the Ministry of Education in Ontario, which grants the authority to schools to offer the official OSSD.

Dual Diploma Requirements:

  • Dual-diploma pathway: credits from their home-country school transfer toward the OSSD
  • Students complete several additional courses per year alongside their regular studies
  • The exact number is determined individually upon application: LSA’s partner school provides an Equivalent Credit Assessment for students once we receive the student’s documents and transcript.

Full OSSD requirements:

Total 30 credits from Grades 9 to 12, consisting of:

  • 18 compulsory credits in subjects such as English, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies
  • 12 optional credits earned from various classes offered by LSA’s Ministry-inspected partner school in Ontario.
